About Us
Slattery Marketing was founded in 1980 as little more than a one man operation.
With a desk and a phone in shared office space, the company set out to carve a niche in the private label grocery business. Building on a reputation for competence and integrity, the company has grown into what is generally recognized as the largest volume private label grocery broker in the New York - New Jersey area. In recent years, the company has taken advantage of the massive consolidation in the food brokerage industry to position itself as the "go to" company when local knowledge and established relationships are important to a supplier's marketing effort. Leveraging the equity developed as private label brokers, the company has used the same skills and expertise to grow a significant business on branded and controlled label products.
Today Slattery Marketing occupies approximately 5000 sq. ft. in an authentic 1920's Railroad Station it purchased in 1987. Erected in 1927, the former Ridgefield Park, N.J. train station is an architectural gem that has been lovingly restored to its original splendor, for which the company has been recognized by the Village of Ridgefield Park, and the County of Bergen.
